Seija Lukkala founded Globe Hope in Nummela, Vihti in 2003. A design concept based on circular economy was created.

Globe Hope is a 2003 established Finnish design house who makes bags and accessories of recycled and left over materials and natural cosmetics from pure northern ingredients. Our values are ecology, ethics and esthetics. Our products have sustainable story, origin and meaning. For us material is an opportunity and the origin is the source of inspiration. We make lovable out of abandoned and forgotten.
Amnesty International has awarded us as a designer of the year in 2005, the Cultural Ministry of Finland has given Globe Hope the Finland award of arts and culture in 2006. Globe Hope products held the Finnish key flag sign. In the year 2012 the products were given Design From Finland -sign.
Our products have The Association for Finnish Work -sign since 2012.
